Manchester City midfielder Rodri Hernández has named the toughest opponent he has ever faced.

“There are two, actually. Of course, for me, the best player and the strongest opponent I have ever played against is Leo Messi. But if I had to name the most difficult rival throughout my career, I would say Mohamed Salah, because we have faced each other many times—everyone knows about the rivalry between City and Liverpool. Mo is a fantastic player, and when he’s in form, it’s incredibly difficult to stop him,” said Rodri.

The Spaniard has played against Messi eight times (1 win, 2 draws, and 5 losses), while he has faced Salah thirteen times (5 wins, 5 draws, and 3 losses).
