Pep Guardiola is ready to give João Cancelo last chance

João Cancelo is reportedly poised to depart from Bayern Munich at the conclusion of the current season. While Cancelo’s transfer release clause stands at €70m, it is widely known that the German side is reluctant to exceed €15m for his services.

Barcelona has expressed a strong interest in acquiring the talented Portuguese player, although financial constraints hinder their ability to do so. Nevertheless, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is actively pursuing João’s signature. However, Manchester City opposes the idea of providing Arsenal with another player, given the recent departures of Zinchenko and Jesus.

English media sources suggest that if Pep Guardiola fails to secure a promising left-back from the transfer market, he is prepared to grant Cancelo another opportunity within the team. However, it is important to note that regular playing time cannot be guaranteed.

Guardiola does not trust Sergio Gomez and Nathan Ake frequently gets injured, so, Cancelo will get his opportunity.
