Josh Wilson-Esbrand has joined Cardiff City on loan
Our Academy product, Josh Wilson-Esbrand, has joined Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season. The 21-year-old, primarily a left-back, spent last season at Stade Reims, where he played 13 games and scored 1 goal.
Wilson made appearances in the England youth teams at the under-16, under-18, under-20, and under-21 levels.
The versatile defender made his senior debut in 2021, when we defeated Wycombe 6-1 in the Carabao Cup.
Cardiff City currently sits 14th in the Championship and is 7 points away from the promotion play-off.
Before joining Stade Reims, Esbrand had spent half a season at Coventry City. He was an unused substitute when Coventry City were beaten in the promotion play-off game, losing 6-5 in the penalty shootout.
